RAID is not the same as having backups, people. With a RAID-5, you can handle a *single drive* failure with no downtime, but if multiple drives fail, or the raid controller fails, or if you’re rooted and all your data gets deleted, then you’re screwed. Stop thinking that RAID makes you immune to data loss. […]
